Welcome to Quebrada del Castillo

Quebrada del Castillo is situated near the Atlantic coast of Uruguay, South America.

Quebrada del Castillo farmhouse is a stone building which was constructed in the XIX century. Its central courtyard forms a big square which has been related to old military activities during Spanish domination.

Traces of the past can be perceived in its architecture and in many vestiges across the land and its surroundings.

Today, the productive activity of this farm is horse and cattle breeding. This is complemented with tourism, as Quebrada del Castillo operates today as a small rural hotel.

Our visitors can participate in the farm's typical rural activities, but, overall, they can enjoy tranquility in a fantastic environment, enjoying wild nature and the autochthonous flora and fauna, with the feeling of being in the past.

This place has been recycled as a rural hotel, with single, double or triple rooms, breakfast service included.

Lunch or dinner is optional and is served in the colonial lounge with advance reservation. Normally two or three optional menus (lunch or dinner) is offered.

The main activity for our guests is related to horse riding. Our horses have been specially selected for their tameness.

From the heights of the hills, you can appreciate glorious all-around views of its green valleys contrasting with the immensity of its hills and the blue of the ocean in the horizon. Due to its excellent access and good location our visitors dispose of a wide range of services and points of interest in the nearby. The fact of being situated off Piriápolis and half an hour from Punta del Este, provides a combination of tranquility and entertainment.

Within striking distance our guests can have access to cultural activities, night life, restaurants, beautiful vast beaches and sports activities, from golf to fishing. All this only a few minutes away from the farm.
